The Sound Hotel, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is seeking a Sales Coordinator with experience preferably in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, be able to organize time effectively and work with minimal supervision. Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:

Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Prior Hilton OnQ Property Management System training is preferred.
  • Delphi experience preferred.
  • Hilton Front Office and Guest Services experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn in house reservation management system.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Assist Sales and Revenue team with administrative duties such as creating contracts, entering group bookings, and responding to leads.
  • Book and coordinate small catering events. Create BEOs. Meet and greet with clients.
  • Types all correspondence, reports, and contracts as directed by Director of Sales and Revenue Manager.
  • Maintains and organizes files, work areas, and office equipment.
  • Assists the sales staff by professionally directing the flow of information and traffic in the office including phone calls, appointments, and inquiries.
  • Maintains a trace system.
  • When required, keep minutes for the sales department meetings and distribute them to the proper areas.
  • Coordinates/creates special reports and projects when necessary and as assigned by the Director of Sales and Revenue Manager.
  • Performs special assignments when necessary.
  • Assists in the Service Recovery process by proactively resolving guest issues and notifying the supervisor on duty immediately.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and Revenue Manager.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Command of the English language, written and verbal.
  • Basic mathematical skills for simple calculations.
  • Must be able to work additional hours if requested outside of the traditional work schedule.
  • Must be able to sit for extended time periods.
  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Able to perform several varying tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have good attendance and punctuality.
  • Able to operate office copier, calculator, and computer for extended time periods.
