The Delta by Marriott Helena is searching for a bartender.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

 

 

Maintains proper and adequate setup of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.

Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.

Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.

Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

Check guests for proper identification. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.

Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.

Be attentive! Offer assistance before the guest must ask for it.

Count drinks guests are served.

Place current bar tabs in front of guests at all times.

Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest and personnel guests, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.

Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.

Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.

Responsible for ensuring that all work stations comply with sanitation and safety standards for guests and team members.

Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in working order.

Visually inspects and takes corrective action to ensure that facilities in the bars look appealing and attractive to guests.

Helps manage work orders to ensure repairs and maintenance of beverage facility are completed on a timely basis.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the restaurant as well as all local, state and federal laws and regulations

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Restaurant GM from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

At all times projects a favorable image of The Hotel Group and Hotel to the public.

Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, department meetings and staff meetings.
