The Delta by Marriott Helena is searching for a Sous Chef to assist in training, supervising, and working with all kitchen staff to prepare, cook, and present food to hotel guests.

The Delta Hotel by Marriott Helena is strategically located between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park, and is the only full-service Marriott hotel in the state of Montana. Less than four miles from the Helena Regional Airport, Delta Hotel by Marriott Helena offers 150 luxurious hotel rooms and suites in the heart of Helena.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of food, and ensures adherence to hotel standards of food quality, preparation, and recipes.
  • Provides oversight of all kitchen operational areas in partnership with the Executive Chef.
  • Executes menu preparation from start to finish.
  • Oversees the seasonings, portions, and appearance of food served in the operation.
  • Stores unused food properly to minimize waste and maximize quality.
  • Follows proper staffing guidelines and prepares production sheets.
  • Plans and requisitions food as needed in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Ensures proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices are followed.
  • Ensures a smooth kitchen operation by coordinating with related Food and Beverage Departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Minimum of two years culinary experience. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, and additional culinary coursework is helpful.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with potential nights, weekends or holidays.
