The Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown, managed by The Hotel Group (THG) is looking for a courteous, customer service driven, happy, energetic, ambitious, inspired, ego-free, and 'open for business' type Crowne Meetings Director to join our growing hospitality team! Summary of position: This position serves as the key contact for the Meeting Planner. This position ensures all requirements of the group are met. This position creates and provides best practices for convention services and Food & Beverage departments for meetings. Performs catering sales duties and aids in managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all catering revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. This position is responsible for booking events, creating banquet event orders contracts and finalizing function details.

Qualifications: The individual holding this position must possess the following knowledge,skills and abilities:
+ years sales/hotel experience preferred.
Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 or 4-year college degree a plus.
Ability to listen effectively and to speak English clearly to communicate with customers and team members and prepare written complex reports of room availability and revenues generated.
Must have coordinating skills as pertains to determining time, place and sequence of operations or action.
Basic mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error.
Ability to analyze information and make effective judgments.
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
